AHEA Chapter 4: End Of Discussion

Thank you to everyone who commented and liked the last chapter. Enjoy :)

Chapter 4: End of Discussion

“Di if you felt this way why did you allow Arnavji and I to get married?” asked Khushi.

“Because I don’t trust Chote.”

“What?!” yelled Arnav.

“I was afraid that not giving consent to this marriage would make you do something stupid. I could see you becoming more sexually frustrated by the day and I didn’t want to comprise Khushiji’s honour.” The couple blushed. “I know that Khushiji would never allow you to do something like that outside marriage but I know Chote is a smooth talker and can make almost anyone do almost anything.”

“I would never Di.” Said Arnav.

“Really? You might’ve grabbed Khushiji and eloped and I just couldn’t risk that. Besides, one of us deserves to be happy and I know Khushiji makes you happy. Just because I was still getting over it doesn’t mean that you should have to stop everything for me. This is why I need to move out for a while, I promise I’ll be back soon.”

“I have an idea, Khushi and I will move out.” Suggested Arnav.

“No. I really just need to be by my self for a while to figure out everything. I promise to keep in touch and I’ll be back as soon as I get better.”

Arnav sighed and gave in. “If this is what you want.”

“It really is. I promise to be back tonight to discuss what ever Nani wants to discuss. I really have to run now because I’m super late for my appointment.”

Anjili ran up stairs, grabbed her bag and ran out the door. The family was still slightly shocked at the events that had unfolded at breakfast today. They all dispersed and went to do whatever they normally did but nothing would be normal again.

IAL Chapter 4: Revelation

I'll see you all on Monday with a new update. Enjoy :)

Chapter 4: Revelation

When Arnav saw his brother-in-law and Khushi together on the roof, he didn’t really think anything fishy was going on. I mean, why would he? They were just two normal people on the roof. He then noticed the tension between them and frowned.

How could Jijaji and Khushi possibly have tension between them? They barely know each other.

He was about to dismiss the feeling that something was wrong and call out to Khushi but he stopped when he heard her speak.

“You know what, Anjiliji doesn’t deserve you! Why can’t you just leave her alone?”

Arnav frowned again. What the hell is going on? But that’s the exact moment when Shyam decided to pull Khushi into a hug. Arnav’s jaw hit the floor. He couldn’t believe his eyes. But he had to, after all, seeing is believing. But what Shyam said next froze his entire being completely.

“I love you Khushiji, why can’t you see that? I never loved Rani Siba. I only married her for her money. How could you expect me to love a cripple? I swear, you are my one and only true love. And after I take care of Rani Siba, we can finally be together.”

Arnav couldn’t believe his ears. The man his sister worshiped was rejecting her for someone else. He couldn’t believe that this was the same man who kept his sister happy for 3 years, the same man he trusted so much, the same man who was a great son in law to his family.

He didn’t want to believe any of it. He didn’t want to believe that that was same man was betraying his sister for a low class girl. He didn’t want to believe that the low class girl was the love of his life. He certainly didn’t want to believe that Shyam only wanted to marry his sister for her money. Arnav was sure he had seen love in Shyam’s eyes for his sister. He didn’t want to believe any of it but he had literally just heard and seen all the proof that he needed to be sure that his brother in law is a scumbag.

Without waiting to hear more, Arnav marched on to the roof, pulled Shyam and Khushi apart and punched Shyam.

One thing I'm miffed about is the fact that I gave my blog out to more than 50 people and only a few actually bothered to comment, it's really discouraging guys. Thank you for being patient with me, I'm going to update Here We Go Again and the next chapter of Angels and Devils soon. Enjoy :)

Chapter 4: Ruined

Arnav stared at her with a smirk and she stared back in horror.

“Khushi!” yelled Shashi. “What are you doing?”

“Babuji? Please tell me you haven’t sold the house to this man?”

“I have Khushi. It had to be done I thought you understood that.”

“But Babuji-”

“Khushi I’m still doing business so either stay here and be quiet or go to your room!”

Khushi shut up immediately and stood there. Arnav was still staring at her with a smirk that raised alarm bells in Khushi’s head. Shashi and Arnav sat down again.

“As I was saying before Khushi interrupted, I want your daughter.”

Shashi’s eyes lit up. He turned towards a frozen Khushi. “Khushi bring your sister down.”

“You misunderstand me Mr Gupta.”

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t want Payal, I want Khushi.”

Khushi’s head was spinning at this point. She felt like she was going to throw up any moment now. She sat down on a nearby chair just to keep herself from falling.

“But Khushi’s still a child.” Protested Shashi. “Payal’s 6 years older than her, she’ll be perfect for you Mr Raizada.”

Just then Payal was shoved into the room by her mother who had been listening to the conversation. Payal looked slightly bewildered and awkwardly stood by her sister not knowing what to do.

Arnav spared her a glance before looking back at Shashi. “She most certainly isn’t a child. She proved that a few nights ago in the Sheesh Mahal.”

Khushi’s head began pounding as bile rose to the back of her throat. The silence was actually painful and the only one who seemed to enjoy it was Arnav. Both Payal and her father threw her a confused look.

“What are you talking about?” asked Shashi.

“Oh you haven’t told them Khushi. Its ok, I will. A few days ago Khushi came to see me in the Sheesh Mahal. I believe it was on your wedding day Payal.”

Payal’s eyes widen and she took a sharp in take of breath. “How did you know that?” she asked shakily.

“Khushi told me. She also told me she was there to ‘convince’ your fiancĂ© to lower the dowry. She certainly ‘convinced’ me.” He said with a smirk.

Khushi couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down her face. She ran out of the room and in to the nearest bathroom to throw up with Payal following close behind. She was bent over the toilet hurling everything in the stomach while Payal rubbed her back. When she was done, Payal helped her clean up.

“Jiji please don’t believe any thing he says.” She hiccupped.

“Silly girl!” said hitting her softly on the head. “Why would I believe him over my sister?” But Khushi wasn’t convinced. She went towards the door and locked it. She then proceeded to strip down to her underwear. “What are you doing?!” asked a surprised Payal.

When she was just in her underwear Payal gasped. There were ugly purple, yellow and green bruises all over her sister’s body.

“This is why I don’t want you to believe him.” Khushi said quietly.

“We need to talk.” Said Payal seriously.

Shashi looked at the door where Payal and Khushi had run out to Arnav.

“What are you talking about?”

“Let’s just say you have a very active daughter sir. I mean have you ever wondered why, even though Khushi supposedly went to convince Abishek, that they cancelled the wedding? Are you wondering why I know all of this?”

“What?”

“Let’s sit down Mr Gupta and have a chat about your niece.” Shashi slowly sat down. “You see Khushi has always been jealous of Payal and that’s why she purposefully ruined her wedding.”

“What rubbish!”

“You haven’t heard the full story yet. You see on her conquest to seduce her sister’s fiancĂ©, she accidentally ruined my fashion show. When I asked for compensation she said she’d sleep with me.”

“I don’t believe you.” Said Shashi shaking his head.

“I thought you might say that.”

“Khushi you need to tell me how you got those bruises.”

“He gave them to me.” Whispered Khushi as tears continuously fell from her eyes.

Payal’s eyes widened. “Did Abishek rape you?” She asked fearfully.

“No.”

“Then who the hell did this to you?!”

“That man that Babuji just sold the house to.” She sobbed.

Payal held her as she cried. “Khushi, did he-”

“No but I thought he was going to.”

“What did he do Khushi?” Khushi shook her head in response. “You need to tell me Khushi so we can deal with this.” She said softly.

“He kissed me and he touched me.” She croaked.

Payal’s jaws clenched. “Put your cloths back on Khushi. We have to get our house back from that bastard.”

Arnav held the dvd up high. “All the proof is on here. Don’t worry, I can play this on my laptop.”

He slid the disk in and the dvd started playing. Shashi watched as his daughter fell from the stage right into Arnav’s arms. He watched as she ran away. The video jumped to show a dishevelled looking Khushi running out of the Sheesh Mahal towards her scooter.

This was too much to digest for Shashi and his heart started hurting. Just then Payal walked in dragging a weak Khushi behind her.

Arnav didn’t even look at them and addressed Shashi. “So you see, if you give me your niece I’ll keep her out of trouble and make sure she doesn’t ruin anyone else’s life. In return you get to keep your house and you don’t have to worry about the promiscuity of your niece.”

“Screw you Mr Raizada!” yelled Payal. “You’ll never get my sister nor will you get this house. How can you even ask for her after what you’ve done to her?”

“Payal, she likes it rough; I distinctively remember her asking me to go harder. And unfortunately for you, I already have this house. And Arnav Singh Raizada always gets what he wants.”

Payal looked at her sister and her father. They looked way too weak to be standing. She needed to get rid of this man quickly before something terrible happened.

“We’re cancelling the contract.”

“You can’t. So either hand over Khushi or pack your bags. You have until the end of this week to decide.”

He walked away after saying that. Shashi really couldn’t take any more and neither could Khushi. Almost simultaneously, they both fell to the floor.

HWGA Chapter 4: The Girlfriend I Never Wanted

St Clair’s Hospital

After 2 hours in the hospital staring silently at Khushi whist each holding one hand, the father daughter duo decided to go.

“I have to go to America tomorrow.” said Karan, (Amba’s father).

“I know, don’t worry I’ll take some time off work to keep an eye on her. Or I’ll give Logan time off. I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to get a small holiday.” Said Amba.

“Are you sure you’ll be ok?”

“Dad, I’m 22 years old, I’ll be fine.”

“Weren’t you meant to call Logan to tell him how Khushi’s doing?”

“Yes but I like him worrying unnecessarily, he’s very cute when he’s worried.” She smirked at her father’s scowl.

“Yes well you behave while I’m away.”

“Don’t I always?”

“No and that’s what keeps me up at night.”

“Dad I’m sure that’s not the only thing that keeps you up at night.” She winked at him and turned to leave a very shocked Karan Malik near Khushi’s bed.

Dear Lord my daughter’s a vixen. What happened to the sweet innocent baby that I once held in my arms? He thought and glanced at Khushi.

He held her and spoke, “Everything’s fine and you’re going to be fine. Just come back to us quickly butterfly.” He kissed her forehead before picking up his jacket and leaving.

St Claire’s parking lot

Before Amba got into her car she checked her phone. She wasn’t surprised to see 20 missed calls and 15 texts from Logan. She rang his phone before getting into her car. She had barely started it before he picked up and started screaming at her. She rolled her eyes, barely paying attention to him, and drove off.

“Amba, Amba! Are you even listening to me?!” He screeched.

“God, you’re like the girlfriend I never wanted!” But as soon as the words left her mouth she regretted it. She never Logan got really sensitive about his masculinity. There was a long and awkward silence and she could tell Logan was trying to keep his cool.

Nice one Amba! Why do you never think before you speak?

But luckily for her Logan was taking the high road today for two reasons. One; he’s meeting with Mr Raizada had gone surprisingly well even though he was insulted so many times he had lost count. And two; he knew if he started getting angry at her, she’ll torture him even more about Khushi’s incident.

“Amba, why is mum in the hospital?” Ever since Logan’s real mother died, Khushi had become a perfect replacement mother and he was scared to lose his mother again.

Amba could sense the panic and decided to put the poor guy out of his misery. It had barely been a year since her mother had got out of the hospital and the fact she’s in again is obviously concerning.

Logan took her silence to mean something else and he went into a full panic mode. “Is it-”

“No. She got into a car accident.”

“What!”

“Yeah, she’s-”

“How is she? Is her condition stable? Is she paralyzed? Memory lose? Is she even alive?!”

“No need to be hysterical, she’ll be fine-”

“What do you mean she will be? Isn’t she fine now?”

“She’s unconscious now. The doctor’s said-”

“What did the doctor’s say?”

Logan you interrupt me one more time and I swear!” She snapped.

“I’m sorry.”

“Her brain has swollen because she bashed her head because the airbag system didn’t work. They may have to induce coma if she wakes up too early but they’re sure she’ll make a speedy recovery. If she wakes up, no when she wakes up, she might have memory lose or a personality change. All we can do is pray and wait.”

When she finished there was a long pause. Amba wasn’t the type of person you could go for comfort so she didn’t know what to say to him. She always felt really uncomfortable in these situations but she always gave it a try.

Logan-

“Can I go see her?”

“Sure. Take the rest of the day off. I was planning on staying and doing some extra work anyway.”

“Thank you. The write up of the meeting is on your desk. Call me if there’s anything else you need.”

“I’m sure I’ll manage.”

With that said she turned her car around and headed straight to work.

Well I guess that’s a no to a long hot bath and a glass of wine, she thought, Oh who cares. Working has always taken my mind of things better than a bath and alcohol ever has.
